Transforming HR: structure, deliverables, alignment
Many agree that HR needs to change. First, we suggest the reasons why HR matters, ways in which HR can align its work to the organization's strategy, customers, stakeholders, and externally, to the industry and community. Next, we define outcomes of good HR work not in terms of activities and deliverable, but building organization capabilities. Through a HR Capability Assessment, ComprehensiveHR identifies key issues in HR and offers specific roadmap for transforming HR strategy, HR practices, and HR professionals. These recommendations redesign, reengineer, and upgrade the HR profession.
HR CapaBility assessments
An assessment involves the systematic comparison of human resources practices against the organization’s strategy and goals as well as policy and/or legal requirements and HR best practices. The output of the assessment is a list of recommendations and strategies to address the gaps between what is required to build organizational capability and what is being done
Success Criteria
Since an assessment can have multiple goals, the purposes and associated success criteria must be clearly defined and communicated up-front. Essential elements for success are defining objectives and goals of the assessment as well as providing the appropriate resources (time, staff, budget, tools, documents, technology). Simply stated: what business problems are we trying to solve? Examples of specific purposes for an assessment are:
- To better align HR deliverables to the organization’s strategy and goals.
- To examine an organization's compliance with established regulations and/or company policies.
- To explore how to better serve the business needs of the stakeholders; management, employees, the business, the client and the community.
- To streamline the work processes in order to focus on HR deliverables that bring about business results such as talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, training and development, etc.
- To establish an “early warning system” to spot problems or identify issues before they become crises
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

MANAGEMENT SKILLS TRAINING: Learn, Connect, Reflect
Your manager holds the key to employee engagement and productivity. Unfortunately, we don't spend time providing them the tools and resources to be effective managers. The management skills training gives the manager the opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge and competencies to contribute to the success of their organizations through the alignment and management of their team. This is accomplished by providing the managers the tools, techniques, information, assessments and practice in order for them to learn more about themselves, the organization, and their team. An important tool is to lhelp managers reflect about themselves and be more mindful of how they are contributing to the success or failure of this relationship
HR TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION
Providing HR staff with the current skills and knowledge is instrumental in providing outstanding HR deliverables. ComprehensiveHR has been in front of the classroom teaching hundreds of HR professionals in preparation for the HRCI certification exam. We provide in-house education that works best for your HR staff.
